The Crime Dog: Attention you W.F. bypass opponents!Lo these many years while you have enjoyed the rural Fayette lifestyle, guess who has subsidized it? Us city folk and city business owners, that's who!!! The Crime Dog: Attention you MARTA phobes!Despite your sky is falling OHMYGOD-CLAYTONCOUNTY-RIVERDALE panic attacks, repeat after me: There is NO WAY IN HADES that MARTA could ever make it to Fayette. The Crime Dog: Citizen to publish new specially censored "Bubble" editionIn response to overwhelming demand, new Citizen editor Pollyanna Golightly announced today that The Citizen is unleashing a revamped edition of its formerly award-winning newspaper. The Crime Dog: BOE cutsIn the File-Smola race we have two choices: 1. File, who has no recommended budget cuts on the table despite the impending financial crisis The Crime Dog: File vs. Smola ...All the hamming about "opening" the BOE has distracted me from the real issue about our schools. The SPLOST will not pass. Hard times are here. Now. The Crime Dog: Nicole File's "open book"I'm re-posting this because it got buried under some less important blogs: I would vote for Nicole File if she: 1. Kept her own promise about "open government." She can't even post information on her own website. The "issues" and "SPLOST" links are under construction. How are we to judge her as a potential board member? The Crime Dog: Nicole File's "open book"I would vote for Nicole File if she: 1. Kept her own promise about "open government." She can't even post information on her own website. The "issues" and "SPLOST" links are under construction. How are we to judge her as a potential board member? The Crime Dog: ESPLOST and FileIt's almost comical the parallels between Nicole File and our Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin: 1. Both snuck into their races at the last minute. The Crime Dog: Fayette not immune to bad timesWow have you seen the list of foreclosures this week in the "other" paper? There were more than a hundred! And no, they're not limited to any one area of the county. From the countryside on the south to the big city to the west and everything in between. The Crime Dog: Uncle Vergie's billboard on I-85Good gosh a-mighty! I couldn't miss that thing, and I only saw it in my rear view mirror the other day. I hear he has some big money behind him. Special interests perhaps? Hopefully the Citizen will tell us all... The Crime Dog: Git Real and Rudjard HayesGit, really now. You're supporting a carpetbagger who moved into Fayette for the sole purpose of running for DA? He just moved here last year. The Crime Dog: Handicapping the sheriff's raceIt's really gonna come down to Wayne Hannah and Barry Babb. Thomas Mindar just isn't experienced enough and has no supervisory skills despite his 9+ (I think) years in law enforcement. But aggressive cops like him are important in Fayette and hopefully he'll be able to stick 'round. The Crime Dog: District voting: not a black/white issueDistrict voting is a Democrat/Republican issue. It's a smart/dumb issue really. Folks in Fayette, by and large, are well educated and successful. They won't vote to elect dummies! Especially those who don't know what they're talking about. The Crime Dog: Clayton Co. school solutions?First off, the governor could issue an executive order to have the state take over the schools. You think State Supt. Kathy Cox knows some folks who could go in and clean things up? The Crime Dog: Dear heatjam, Luv The Crime DogYou can't seem to articulate any reasons the latest map won't work. Again, none of the three schools were overcrowded. The Crime Dog: Support the BOE triple win; challenge to anti-Spring Hill bloggers1. Give East Fayette parents what they really want ... a brand-new school to replace their ancient building. Best of all: East Fayette students would stay with the faculty that knows them the best, who are all moving to the new Inman school. Leave room for future growth! The Crime Dog: Thank you Tom VanHoozer and BOETom, you took a stand when you didn't have to, and all for the betterment of ALL students. Also to Terri Smith and Janet Smola of BOE for actually replying to emails in a prompt manner and being willing to consider all options. The Crime Dog: Cal and crew: East Fayette questionsThe old Cal I know, gumshoe reporter Cal, would've already had these questions answered in previous coverage. 1. Something smells funny 'bout the board geezers wanting to repurpose East Fayette for alternative school. What would they do with the extra room at LaFayette??? The Crime Dog: East Fayette suggestion; request for The CitizenIf East Fayette parents want a new school building, let's give them a new one! Send them to Inman along with their teachers. That insures educational continuity and they get rewarded for sticking with that old rotten building. The Crime Dog: Gang forum: Simmons vs. HannahMaybe the NAACP needs to plan its events better. Invites to law enforcement were given the Friday before the Monday night event. Props to them, however, for making the effort. The Crime Dog: Republicans/Pitiful economy ... and fair taxSo the AJC reports that 10,000 folks have showed up for the 400 Wal-Mart jobs, most of which will not break $12-16 an hour, if that. The Crime Dog: Tyrone citizens violatedThe aristocracy may be out in Tyrone. Unfortunately they've been replaced by the idiotcracy. They weren't even sworn into office before they broke their first campaign promises (open government, remember?). The Crime Dog: Bill McNally ...... Hasn't even been on the clock for Tyrone yet and he's already set them up for an open meetings lawsuit. That's got to be a record, even for him! |
