The Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will be holding its annual Christmas Tour of Homes on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7.

Peachtree City will hold its third annual Hometown Holiday Christmas event on Saturday, Dec. 6, beginning at Shakerag Knoll at 5 pm and ending at City Hall with the grand Christmas tree lighting, local entertainment, and a visit with Santa Claus.

“Role Models” - Rock n’ Role


If you just read the plot of this film, two losers learn a lot about themselves when they are forced to mentor two outcast kids, you’d probably reach for the barf bags and turn off the Hallmark Channel, wondering why you took so much nighttime cold medicine during the day anyway. “Role Models” takes the ultra-formulaic plot and turns it on its ear by making it an R-rated comedy that keeps all of the heart and sentimentality of a Movie of the Week but also makes you laugh like crazy.

Main street Newnan kicks off holiday activities in historic downtown

It is that time of the year and Main Street Newnan is kicking it off in style with their annual Holiday Open House, Sunday, Nov. 9th from 1-5 p.m. Merchants will unveil their new Christmas merchandise as well as providing live entertainment on the Square. This Sunday event has been a Christmas tradition in downtown Newnan for over twenty years.

Whodunnit?  The Audience Decides!

Rehearsal for Murder, an audience-participation mystery with more than a touch of comedy, debuts at Tyrone’s Boxcar Cafe on Saturday, November 8.  The plot involves two fearful actors (Toby and Anne) and an unbalanced director (Dr. Marcy Masters) who are trapped in a freight elevator during a regional audition.  Marcy has recently avoided prison with a successful temporary insanity defense for killing an actress.

Great Georgia Ghosts Storytelling Tour at the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum

Everyone is invited to a “Spooktacular Night” as you join the Museum’s Spirit Guides as they take you on a guided walking tour through the Historic City Cemetery. It is there you will meet spirits from beyond the grave and learn about local history through the tales that are told. You will learn about the great cyclone of 1892, speak to a Civil War Captain and meet Doc Holliday and Margaret Mitchell. Many secrets will be revealed such as what ties these famous characters to Fayetteville and this old cemetery. After your exciting tour, you will return to the Museum for treats. The yard sale lasts from 8 a.m-3 p.m. Sponsored by the Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department, this community-wide sale will be held at the Activities House parking lot at 980 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. Chloe (Drew Barrymore) is a bratty Beverly Hills Chihuahua who gets manicures, goes to dog birthday parties, and has a pool. All of this is thanks to her owner, Vivian (Jamie Lee Curtis). Unfortunately, Chloe has to deal with the annoying Chihuahua, Papi (George Lopez), who loves her so much he would probably lift a fire hydrant for her. He belongs to Sam (Manolo Cardona). Sam is Vivian’s landscaper.

A small town torn apart by a tragic drowning and the devastating effect of the Great Depression is the setting for Jim Leonard Jrs. powerful, poignant, and deeply humorous play “The Diviners” opening October 22 at the Starr's Mill High School Willie Duke Auditorium. Under the direction of Mr. David Spearman, the play will be performed by the Starr's Mill High School Drama Department October 22, 23, and 25. All performances are scheduled at 7 p.m.
