Chattahoochee Hills Police Officer Assassinated

If you haven't heard, a near-by police officer was gunned down while driving down a dirt road just outside of Palmetto. For those of you who don't understand why a police officer is on the defensive on a "routine" traffic stop, this is why. Things like this are becoming more and more common around our country. Even in so-called "safe" areas like this.

I would willingly volunteer a spooky horse, tall tree and a short rope. I didn't know Officer Vogt well, but my husband and I chatted with him one afternoon while waiting to pick up a pizza...nice man. He didn't even have his blue lights on, he probably stopped to see if the people needed help...and they murdered him. Keep a lookout for the car, 1982 LeBaron, Dark Brown, sits low to the ground, no hubcaps. $35,000 reward.
Prayers for healing for his family, the Chattahoochee Hills Police Department, and all those who grieve for the loss of this fine man.

Who knows why it happened. No matter why it happened, it will never be right. Lawyers will prevent justice. It will be not much more than a passing sad thought to most, other than just the immediately family and department. Where's Charles Bronson when we need him.
