South Metro plans Easter pageant March 23, 24, 25
“The Christ, The Cross, The Crown,” an Easter pageant featuring live animals, music, special effects and drama will play at South Metro Ministries, formerly Peachtree City Church of God, 3935 Ga. Hwy. 34 East, Sharpsburg, Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 25 at 6 p.m. Admission is free. A nursery will be provided for children through age 5. Local school custodian charged with molesting daughter

A custodian at a local Fayette elementary school has been arrested on one count of child molestation, Peachtree City police said.

School system buys 174 acres

The Coweta County School System is moving forward with its plans for a rapidly-growing district.

School spokesperson Dean Jackson said this week that the system has purchased 174 acres near New Corinth Road and Bohannon Road for future school sites.
