A custodian at a local Fayette elementary school has been arrested on one count of child molestation, Peachtree City police said.

Toney Elder, 43, of Old Greenville Road, Fayetteville was arrested by police Wednesday.

The victim in the case is the Elder’s biological daughter, who is now 16 years old and came forward Feb. 27 to report the incidents that began when she was 11 years old, police said.

The incidents took place at Elder’s former home in Peachtree City and at the elementary school where he worked, police said.

It was not clear at press time which school Elder works at.
