Patriots top Tucker, move on in football playoffs

Sandy Creek’s football team advanced to the state quarterfinals for the first time in school history with a 17-14 win over the defending state champion Tucker Tigers. Click here for the full story.

The Sandy Creek family appreciates the congrats form you all and the best wishes.

Saw a few players and coaches from other schools in the county on our side Friday Night. Its nice to know we have some support from outside the Sandy Creek community.

I remember in 2005 when Starrs Mill faced Brookwood in the Quarterfinals, there was a large contingency of Sandy Creek people that ventured down to Panther stadium to cheer them on.

TCC is a tough place to play, tremendous home field advantge for them. Just stick to what has worked all year and you will be fine.

How bout those Patriots?! I sure hope we get the coverage that is rightly deserved! We beat the quad A state champs tonight and no story? We all know that we are the black sheep of the county, but hopefully everyone can swallow their pride and support the best football team in Fayette Co. this year. Our guys deserve this!

Mamadutt, swallow this! Did you not read about the GREAT Patriot win in the sports section of this newspaper scribed last night? Sweethart, that's called same day coverage. WE don't ALL know about you being a black sheep. Please madam, don't presume to speak for me. Your comments denigrate a fine school, a proud tradition and suck the life out of this community. Why not try a totally positive perspective when speaking about our team's TREMENDOUS effort this year?
