What happened to the arrest reports for 07/30/09 through 08/24/09? I really wanted to see those.

How does arresting people for possessing marijuana benefit any of us? That's OUR tax dollars being used to make these arrests, and for all the broken lives they cause we aren't made any safer by them and neither are our families.

If we're going to keep marijuana illegal then we might as well make candy illegal as well! The argument is exactly the same - both contain risks to users, and making them illegal "sends the right message" to our youth.

Of course a candy prohibition would be ignored by millions and would encourage people to simply switch from buying from stores to buying from "friends", and criminals would see this unrelenting demand as an easy way to get rich quick. Exactly as we've seen over the entire seventy years of the marijuana prohibition!

We need to stop flushing our tax dollars down the prohibition toilet and demand the right to commercially produce and sell marijuana to adults! This is the ONLY way to undercut cartel prices, strip them of their customers and end the brutal and ongoing cartel murders.

Jway,
I can't follow the logic of your argument.
"If we're going to keep marijuana illegal then we might as well make candy illegal as well!"

Candy isn't illegal, possession of Marijuana without script is.

The police don't make the laws or decide which ones to enforce. That's what the Judiciary is for.

I'm ambivalent on the issue, but as long as it remains illegal, the folks who are caught with it will have to deal with that.

I'm not sure that the Police Reports section is the best place for your comment. If you feel that strongly about Marijuana possession, then work on having the legislature enact that change.
