2008 All-Citizen girls soccer team

• Player of the year - Erin Emerson - Whitewater - Although she dazzled us with her speed as a freshman, assisting Whitewater to a state soccer title, Emerson excelled in her sophomore season with 27 goals and three assists. She is a tenacious player and extremely fun to watch.

• Coach of the Year - Marcia Clark - McIntosh - In arguably the toughest region in the state, Clark and her Lady Chiefs won another region title and made a strong showing in the state playoffs.
Note: Defensive players were selected for their defense, but the only stats we had were for goals and assists.

First team
• Goalie - Kaitlyn Stroud - Starr’s Mill, Only allowed four goals all season.
Defense
• Bailey Powell - Whitewater, 11 goals, two assists, High School All-American
• Jewelia Strickland - Whitewater, four goals, three assists
• Tawny Moffatt - McIntosh, two goals
• Katrina Frost - Starr’s Mill,
two goals, one assist
Midfield
• Keri O’Neill - Sandy Creek, 16 goals and nine assists as a freshman
• Mandy McCalla - Starr’s Mill, 10 goals
• Olivia Tucker - McIntosh, 14 goals, seven assists
• Emily Culbreth - Whitewater, seven goals, three assists
Forwards
• Laura McCalla - Starr’s Mill, 21 goals, nine assists
• Carlie Banks - Starr’s Mill, 17 goals, 13 assists
• Kate Marnock - McIntosh, 15 goals, eight assists
• Meghan O’Rourke - McIntosh, 11 goals, six assists
• Brittany Vining - Whitewater, 13 goals, five assists
