Please Clean Up After Your Pets

I don't dump out diapers 2 feet from your yard, please clean up after your pets if they poop 2 feet from yard. I really don't care if it is on the cart path side. Have some manners and respect for your neighbors. Especially if they have asked politely. Comments about my yard are irrelevant when I ask you if you need a baggy for your dog. I have plenty. I was trying not to embarrass you while asking you to please not be so disgusting.

I guess I don't really want to know why you're searching for "dog poop" in the archives.

Everything okay at home?

Chuckle....I stumbled across that on an unrelated Google search and when the date popped up I couldn't resist.

All is well at home. Smiling Except for all the poop my neighbors leave in my yard. Eye-wink

I remember a few years ago this topic came up at a council meeting, and while some were upset that pet owners did not clean up after their puts along the paths, we eventually agreed that this kind of thing did not need the hands of government involved, and to leave it to the good discretion of pet owners.

While it is unfortunate that some folks choose to ignore the reality of biological functions along the paths, I think we did the right thing not to create an ordinance.

One I wish we did create was to have dogs be required to be on a leash when they are on the paths. I'm a dog lover and dog owner, but right now, if the dog is under "voice command" it need not be leashed. Problem is it scares some older folks and young kids when they're not leashed, and they're not always under voice command when they're supposed to be.

Man, I wish this were our biggest problem!
