Westmoreland votes to extend tax cutsU.S. Rep. Lynn Westmoreland today voted for the Tax Relief Extension Reconciliation Act of 2005. The bill, which passed 234-197, will keep taxes on capital gains and dividends at 15 percent through 2010. Suspect arrested for assault, burglaryAn Atlanta man suspected in the violent assault of an elderly Fayette County man has been arrested. Arnold Bernard Wesley Jr., 23, of 3901 Campbellton Road is charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. Police said that he hit the victim in the back of the head and stole several firearms from the residence on Lady Carolyn Court after the attack Friday afternoon.
