Cyndi Plunkett

In this second essay, the focus will be on two quality of life issues: recreation and the proposed West Village annexation.

Harold Logsdon

George Washington had the most difficult administration in the history of our country. That’s because he didn’t have a previous administration to blame his troubles on, like our current mayor.

Dan Gibbs

I appreciate this opportunity to share more of who I am and what Peachtree City can accomplish with the right leadership and vision.

Steve Brown

I have really enjoyed working with our current City Council. Obviously, my opponents in this campaign are not going to celebrate our accomplishments over the past four years. Being rated the eighth best place to live by CNN/Money Magazine was a great honor. Even better, Peachtree City was most affordable place to live and had the lowest crime rate in the top ten.

Phil Boswell

The annexation of the “West Village” will one day soon be an old issue, whether it is built out in PTC or elsewhere.

Steve Boone

One of the most prominent reasons I felt compelled to run for Peachtree City Council was to bring about a greater sense of cooperation.

Yawn named PCTA chief

Lauren Yawn has been named executive director of the Peachtree City Tourism Association, officials announced Wednesday.

Logsdon, Thompson top fund-raisers in mayoral race

Steve Rapson

I appreciate this opportunity provided by The Citizen to share my views on the issues affecting Peachtree City. I have enjoyed my four and one-half years serving as a member of the City Council. It has been my pleasure to serve and I appreciate the many e-mails and phone calls from concerned citizens. To me, that is what public service on the local level is all about: serving and listening to the concerns of the average citizen.

Mayor Steve Brown

It has truly been an honor to be in your service for the past four years. The restructuring in Peachtree City has been very successful. I remained true to my core values: love your citizens as you would yourself, listen to others, obey the law, be fiscally responsible, encourage innovation and stand up for what is right on behalf of my constituents.

Phil Boswell

“I am glad you are running for mayor, you will make a good one. But, why do you want to run? Why would you want to get into that mess?”

Harold Logsdon

In my race for mayor I have focused on three major areas where I believe our current city administration has failed us: leadership, financial accountability, and quality of life.

Dar Thompson

I enter my candidacy for mayor of Peachtree City, not as a politician, but as a public servant and a partner to the people of this great city.

Dan Tennant

After considerable thought, discussions with friends and family, and prayerful reflection, I decided to enter the race for mayor. I did so because I believe I have the necessary experience, drive, and dedication to serve as an effective leader for Peachtree City.

Dan Gibbs

Peachtree City can now see the vision of its initial planners coming to fruition. This accomplishment marks the end of one challenge and the beginning of an even larger one.

Cyndi Plunkett

I am Cyndi Plunkett, a candidate for City Council, Peachtree City Post 4. In this first essay I would like to introduce myself, briefly give you my thoughts on some of the issues facing Peachtree City, and convince you that I am the best candidate for City Council.

Christian Lukjan

Solidarity is something that our city, Peachtree City, needs. Allow me to introduce myself and explain why you want to vote for me on Nov. 8. I moved here in 1991. I went to many of the local schools and graduated from McIntosh. Later, I went to Emory University (20th in national ranking). I am an anthropologist, not an attorney like both of my opponents. Before you start wondering where you have heard of it before, Hollywood’s Indiana Jones is supposed to be an anthropologist. Anthropology is the study of humans. As an anthropologist you must gather information before you make a decision.
