Marathon to slow traffic Saturday

Bikers participating in a triathlon will slow down traffic on some local roads in Peachtree City Saturday morning.

The Tri-PTC Spring Triathlon will last from 7 a.m. until noon, with areas affected including Willowbend Road, Hip Pocket Road, Kelly Drive, McIntosh Trail, Robinson Road and Colonnade.

One of the main overriding community concerns about the two proposed west side annexations in Peachtree City is density.

But The Seasons at Peachtree City, the “active adult” community proposed by the Levitt and Sons company, shouldn’t impact the school system in terms of additional students, as it will be restricted to persons ages 55 and up.
