City kicking off autumn with an old-fashioned antique car show

On Saturday, September 23rd, vintage street rods, hot rods, and motorcycles will converge on Historic Downtown Senoia from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the second annual "Cruisin' to the Oldies" Antique Car Show.

The show is free and open to the public, but register your antique car ($10 in advance, $15 day of show) for a goody bag and a chance to win a trophy. There will also be a raffle and a 50/50 drawing to benefit the show sponsor, the Senoia Downtown Development Authority. The City of Senoia is co-sponsor.

In addition to a great show for car buffs, the Varsity will be cooking their all-time favorite treats beginning at 1:00 p.m., and the Senoia Coffee Company will be open for drinks, meals, and desserts. Churn 'N Scoop Home Made Ice Cream and Hawaiian Shaved Ice will provide a delicious way for show goers to cool down, and local businesses will be open late for shoppers.

Wesley Culpepper of WC Sounds will be spinning the oldies for your listening pleasure, and Scott Sargeant and Charlie Filkins of Car Guys TV and High Octane Radio will add their special touch of comedy as emcees.

To register or for more information, call Gail Downs at 770-599-9155 or Suzanne Helfman at 770-599-8182.
