Peachtree City police are investigating the death of a University of Georgia student who was found unresponsive early Sunday morning at a residence in the Bradford Estates subdivision.

Emergency crews sent to 301 Bradford Way at 7:20 a.m. determined that the student, identified as Samuel Kennedy, 24, of Vandiver Hall had died.

The department is awaiting the autopsy report and also results from toxicology testing as part of the investigation, police said Tuesday morning.

Police officials would not comment on the believed cause of death in the case but promised to release more information at a later date once the investigation is further along.

Kennedy graduated from Starr's Mill High School in 2004, according to school records.

According to county tax records the property where Kennedy was discovered is owned by Thomas and Gayle Reddy. Kennedy formerly lived at a residence on Bradford Way but it is not immediately known if he still has family living there.
