Benjamin "Ben" Franklin McLaughlin, 73, Fayetteville, died Feb. 6, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Marguerite McLaughlin. He was a native of LaGrange and a graduate of LaGrange College. He worked and later retired from the State of Georgia. Memorial services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev Jimmy Slick officiating.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Nora McLaughlin, Fayetteville; a son, Mike McLaughlin, Athens; daughters, Paige and Gregg French, Acworth; grandsons, Ben and Ryan French, Acworth; and a brother, Tom and Sharon McLaughlin, LaGrange. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
