Delta Community Credit Union announces DCC ’U’ scholarship programTue, 01/26/2010 - 3:00pm

Delta Community Credit Union, one of the largest financial institutions in Georgia, announces a call for entries for its annual DCC“U” scholarship. Delta Community Credit Union’s DCC“U” Scholarship is about awarding scholarships to assist students in their quest for higher education, whether it be at a “U”niversity, College or Technical Institute. Scholarships are awarded to applicants based on the following criteria: • Applicants and parents (or family member/guardian) must be Delta Community Credit Union members in good standing • Applicants must be a graduating high school senior and must begin college or technical school as a first-time full-time freshman in the following semester • Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average • Applicants must submit official transcripts and provide SAT or ACT scores Delta Community will award three $5,000 scholarships in 2010, and all scholarships will go toward the recipients’ tuition, books, dormitory lodging or meal costs at an accredited college or technical school. Applications must be received by Monday, April 12, 2010. “Delta Community Credit Union’s annual scholarship program is an example of its strong commitment to community involvement in the metro Atlanta area and beyond,” said Rick Foley, president and chief executive officer of Delta Community. “We encourage all metro Atlanta high school seniors to apply for this annual scholarship to help with their future education.” Delta Community is committed to help “U” succeed not only through services and products but also with the DCC“U” scholarship.
