Dept. of Labor assists in Mobis recruitment Jan. 16Thu, 01/14/2010 - 4:35pm

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center will help Mobis, a manufacturing facility located in West Point, fill about 250 second-shift production jobs. Mobis is a Kia supplier. The recruitment will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 700 Veterans Parkway, the site of the career center in Columbus. Mobis will be taking generic applications and conducting on-site interviews for production workers. Applicants must have a high school or General Education Development (GED) diploma, along with mechanical or electrical aptitude and mathematical ability. Automotive assembly-line experience is preferred, but not required. Applicants who are selected by the company will be required to complete 12 hours of pre-employment training through Georgia Quick Start at West Georgia Technical College in LaGrange.
