Fyt35: Air show videoFyt35: Fayette County schools closed today!Fyt35: Athenas Pizza in PTCHave you fellow bloggers tried this place out yet? It opened next to Jersey Mikes. I must say I gave it a try about two weeks ago and was extremely disappointed. I ordered their version of Greek pizza, after what appeared as an unreasonably long wait, the pizza came out. The lamb meat was burnt, I called the manager on it and his response was that “people like their meat crispy”. What planet did he come from? Crispy gyro meat? It was like eating leather. Fyt35: Sandy Creek game on the radio...Fyt35: Sandy Creek footballSandy Creek put an impressive show last Friday night as the Patriots handily defeated the Wildcats. Many of us are still at awe of how good this football team is and certainly wish them well as the season continues. Unfortunately, what happened after the game was reprehensible and by far tops anything that has happened around here relating to school rivalries. Fyt35: CSS Game of the WeekSandy Creek and Whitewater football fans. Fyt35: Where is the 2009 Fayette county h.s. football preview?Fyt35: Video of Sgt. Beale's funeral processionA co-worker who is part of the Patriot Guard sent me this link of Sgt. Beale’s funeral procession, what a show of support for his family in honor of this hero. Summer lacrosse is easy and as close as ever; boys and girls high school league; middle school and youth pick-up and clinics for all. Click on the link below for more information and registration. Fyt35: Lacrosse state playoffsSt. Pius defeated Starr’s Mill 9-2 and Decatur knocked off McIntosh 11-5 in first round boy’s playoff action. On the girl’s side today, Whitewater will be visiting St. Fyt35: Where is the high school lacrosse coverage?A sport that grew 100% last year, our area having a team as McIntosh, one of the best in the state and teams such as Starr's Mill and Whitewater improving every year to reach that level, not one word? Fyt35: Our days of numberedI remember when the presidential elections gave you a sense of pride; how my parents and grandparents took this very seriously based on experience, real issues, and what was good for our great nation. Fyt35: An inconvenient truth!Fyt35: Dirty liberal politicsWhen backed in the corner, what should a liberal do? How about some dirty politics attacking Sarah Palin and her family? Unbelievable! Fyt35: No gasoline in Fayetteville! What in the world! Took the wife to the airport last night and noticed empty gas stations and long lines in F'ville. I’m curious to read some feedback before trying it myse Fyt35: CRCT scores: What’s up Kathy Cox?Once again the reports are out that the students of this state have failed miserably the CRCT. After spending days teaching the test instead of learning the material this is what we get, more failure. Our education ranks near the bottom, the situation has not improved since Kathy Cox took office, what exactly is her job? What are the teachers teaching in the classroom? Who is monitoring progress? What are the parents doing about or is school just a babysitting service? How ridicolulous it is to blame it on the test; if you teach the material you should pass it, it’s not brain surgery. Fyt35: Mother's Day brunchTrusted bloggers, can you recommend a good Mother’s Day brunch close to the county or in metro Atlanta within reason? Fyt35: McIntosh wins vs Westminster! In what could be one of the best lacrosse games yet of the season for the Chiefs, they have advanced in the state playof Fyt35: BCS: what a mess!If you are college football fan, this has been a crazy season! But in my humble football opinion, the BCS got it wrong again. How could you justify giving LSU three opportunities at No.1? How can you let Ohio State in when all they did was sit around for weeks and watch everybody else fall week after week? Do you really think Tennessee would have been given the same opportunity if the Vols have won the SEC championship? Fyt35: Restaurants in Fayette CountyWell, it looks like Johnny Carinos closed its doors in Fayetteville; I don’t know when this happened since I don’t frequent The Pavilion that much.
