BCS: what a mess!

If you are college football fan, this has been a crazy season! But in my humble football opinion, the BCS got it wrong again. How could you justify giving LSU three opportunities at No.1? How can you let Ohio State in when all they did was sit around for weeks and watch everybody else fall week after week? Do you really think Tennessee would have been given the same opportunity if the Vols have won the SEC championship?

Who will watch these games now? A Georgia-Oklahoma match up sounds better than Georgia-Hawaii for the Sugar Bowl, how about VaTech-USC, isn’t that appealing? Missouri doesn’t even get in a BCS bowl, how insulting is that?

Yeah, I’ll just have to say the obvious: playoffs!

Georgia should be playing my beloved Sooners for the championship game. The BCS is just.... just... just plum dumb. It's time for a playoff structure. 12 teams with the 4 top conference champs earning a bye. Or something like that.

Playoffs in college football would be similar to baseball with playoffs.
One or two lucky wins with a good pitcher and you are in!

We have had world champion baseball teams who lost more games than they won! And more than several other teams.
The winner should be the teams that win the most games playing each other.

If Georgia played the California or Florida teams only, they would lose 2/3 of them! Not to mention The big ten.

The Sooners are no longer "my beloved" but I did go to school there for a while, in the dust bowl, with a derrick in every yard! Real hicks, then!

Some third teams could beat any given team on any given day.

There is no such thing as national champion, except as an opinion.

There are no scholars on football teams, with rare exceptions. Most do not graduate after 5-6 years.

If you lose 2 0r more games and win others by the skin of your teeth---you are not the USA champion. Anyway there is no such thing!

It is about money, not a University and that is a shame.

We don't need to play College football until March!
