John McCain has long supported CAFE standards

This is interesting since his record says otherwise.

2005: McCain Voted Against Increasing CAFE Standards. In 2005, McCain voted against an amendment that would mandate phased increases in CAFE standards. Passenger vehicles made before 2008 would have to average 25 miles per gallon, and the standard would gradually increase to 40 miles per gallon by model year 2016. By model year 2016, the standard would rise to an average of 27.5 miles per gallon. The amendment failed 28-67. [2005 Senate Vote 157, 6/23/05]

Who is the best 08 Presidential Candidate?

I have been accused of supporting Barack Obama because of his skin color by many a blogger. John McCain's "talk" is anything but straight with respect to Iraq

I can never understand why individuals and groups brand themselves with slogans and nicknames that are the antithesis of what and who they are. Be it "Fair and Balanced" journalism which speaks of Barack Obama's wife as his "baby mama;" the same station which pushed his knuckle tap as a "terrorist fist jab" until footage of GHW Bush doing the same thing emerged. Or, in this case, the anything but "Straight talk express."

John McCain the dream candidate

Sen. John McCain appeared on the Today Show yesterday morning and continued to promote his idea of a long occupation in Iraq. But whatever merits there may be for his message, his delivery is once again promising to get him into trouble.

Just for fun

A biker is riding by the zoo when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage.

Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his bike, runs to the cage, and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain, the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.
