Republican's - Same Old Dirty Tricks

"In swing-state Colorado, the Republican Secretary of State conducted the biggest purge of voters in history, dumping a fifth of all registrations. Guess their color.

In swing-state Florida, the state is refusing to accept about 85,000 new registrations from voter drives – overwhelming Black voters.

In swing state New Mexico, HALF of the Democrats of Mora, a dirt poor and overwhelmingly Hispanic county, found their registrations disappeared this year, courtesy of a Republican voting contractor.

In swing states Ohio and Nevada, new federal law is knocking out tens of thousands of voters who lost their homes to foreclosure."

Some things never change.

No matter whom you intend to vote for - if you're a student of political science, one must admit that the Obama Campaign has used organization and analysis to create a very, very effective political organization. His 'workers' and supporters are very aware of the 'dirty tricks' and illegal attempts that will be made to keep him out of the White House. Fortunately, through creative use of modern technology - so are many, many others - including those who know how to validate these attempts for use in the courts - regardless of who wins the election. This will be a close race. . and 'race' is the not so 'invisible elephant in the room. Most of the younger voters are concentrating on the issues - and not the obvious silly commercials or dirty tricks. I think America is moving beyond race in politics - and the dirty tricks of the old dixiecrats/Republicans will be out of 'style'.

You are correct about one thing Main Stream. Some things never change. With that said guess which party I'm emulating with the following ad I've had inserted in the Citizen Online Classifieds?

Hey, would you take some clean driveway gravel for your November vote? Evil

There's a lot of chat taking place now in cyberspace regarding suspected voter fraud and voter purges, which is a good thing. The more that people are aware of the possibility of this happening, then maybe it will help deter it from taking place. We all deserve to see fair and honest election results in November.

THREE STATES ACCUSED OF ILLEGALLY PURGING VOTER LISTS

Just send me $100 and I won't do anything for you but it sure would help me. You won't have to listen to a DVD, you won't have to pay dues-just send me $100. It will serve a better purpose than if you sent it to Greg Palast.

Yes, Greg Palast has done it again - uncovering yet another attempt by the neocons to purge registered voters from state lists, just like his investigative reporting revealed back in 2004:

2004 VANISHING VOTES

Typical Repub reaction, screaming about lack of credibility, liberal media sources, etc. etc., while this story continues to gain traction.

WHY REPUBS HATE PALAST

A guy who considers Cynthia McKinney and Chavez to be heroes that the MSM sabotaged isn't playing with a full deck. If I recall, he also thinks that Exxon sends everybody a file on his sex life and also that the drunken captain of the Valdez had nothing to do with its sinking and instead it was Exxon's fault for having bad equipment.

Palast has as clear of an agenda as Michael Moore(his biggest-probably literally-fan), so facts get replaced with conspiracies and twisted truths.

I hope Palast is wrong about this - we'll see as November approaches.

He has brought attention to the possibility of this happening and I think we all need to be prudent and watchful, not just for the sake of the election, but for the sake of our democracy.

It's all the big bad Republicans fault. I just stated earlier on these blogs, that folks that sit and blame everything on one party make me laugh. Both parties have HUGE problems, in my humble opinion.

People are forced to move and change address, because they didn't pay their mortgage and that is everyone else's fault but their own?

Huh? Good one.

So now they have to register at their new home or address where they live. Geee, the abuse continues(eyes rolling).

John McCain has 2 sons currently serving in the armed forces. When was the last time we had a sitting president who put his family where his mouth was? I can't remember a president in my lifetime. Was the last president with kids in the armed forces Eisnehower?

You hit the nail on the head! The Congress is FULL of big spenders and that is the reason for the huge deficits. They would only be bigger if not for the tax cuts!

You are right Spyglass. I just like the way they post "facts" that have no source indicated, from a video program produced by BBC on a highly liberal website, wanting money to produce a DVD. Now that really convinces me its all true with no bias.
