Main Street Newnan's July 4 parade will highlight patriotism. Titled "Celebrate Freedom," it begins today at 6 p.m. in downtown Newnan. Everyone is encouraged to participate and be a part of the celebration.

The Boy and I went to Florida for our annual father/son vacation. On the drive down, we talked about the fishing trip and Jet Ski riding ahead of us. We were spending some quality time together, but as soon as we hit the great state of Alabama, all he could talk about was buying fireworks.
