Newnan 'Freedom' parade tonight

Main Street Newnan's July 4 parade will highlight patriotism. Titled "Celebrate Freedom," it begins today at 6 p.m. in downtown Newnan. Everyone is encouraged to participate and be a part of the celebration.

The parade will start at the City Park at the corner of Temple and Jackson Streets, continue on Jackson Street and LaGrange Street, and end at Newnan High School. The parade will allow for large motorized vehicles such as floats, trucks, and tractors; cars, including antiques, dune buggies, and race cars; walking groups, and animals.

Following the parade, a fireworks show sponsored by the Newnan Rotary Club, will be held at Newnan High School's Drake Stadium.
