Though
students in Teri Besch's second-grade class at Oak Grove Elementary
School are still perfecting their cursive handwriting, their letter-writing
skills have proven very successful. The students wrote letters to "Any
Soldier" and many of them received responses.

Therapy Works will soon open in Newnan. They will offer speech, handwriting
clubs, social clubs, hippo therapy and a lot more. Their town hall meeting

kids understand government
The theme of the
2002 County Government Week (April 6-12), is "Coweta Cares for
Kids." As part of Government Week activities, School Resource Officer
Michelle Murray with the Coweta County Sheriff's Department took time
Wednesday morning to talk with children attending the Spring Break Day
Camp at the Coweta County Recreation Department.
County
honors Millians
Some 60 people turned
out last week to honor long-time county employee and former commissioner
James Millians at the Temple Avenue Recreation Complex. Those gathered
praised the life and actions of Millians, noting that children and recreation
had been two of his top priorities.
