Woodland Elementary
Charter School in Sandy Springs and Tri-Cities High School in East Point
have been named 2003 Georgia Schools of Excellence. Twenty winners statewide
were selected by the Georgia Department of Education for this annual

votes for funding proposal
Congressman David
Scott, D-Ga., recently voted to provide an additional $2.5 billion in
funding for police officers, firefighters and local governments to protect
communities in these uncertain times.

school chorus perfomrs at Capitol
The Camp Creek Chorus
performed at the Georgia State Capitol March 12 in a noon performance.
The students sang three selections; "Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel,
"Let My People Go" and "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

David Scott, Georgia's
U.S. Representative from the newly created 13th district, will be the
featured speaker at the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce Business Forum
April 17. This will also be the first Chamber event at the new Georgia
