Local hockey league rolling along

The Peachtree City Inline Hockey League started its spring season March 8 with opening games.

On any given weekend there are 16 games scheduled through the U8, U10, U12, U14, U17, and Adult leagues. The league is comprised of over 350 players and coaches and also includes two middle school and high school teams, the PTC Piranhas, who play competitive games throughout the state.

All of the recreational games and practices take place at the Kedron Multipurpose Rink. The league provides a quality, non-traditional recreation program and reaches out to children who previously were not involved in organized sports.

Also, the League recently attended a Thrashers Hockey Game at Philips Arena Vs the Minnesota Wild. It was a special Youth Hockey Day and over 240 PTC players, siblings, and parents attended. Atlanta Thrashers players conducted a skills clinic for 7-10 year old players March 23 at the PTC Rink.
