Tigers and Bobcats get second wins of season, Panthers and Patriots drop region games

McIntosh traveled to Fayette County High School last Friday in hopes of spoiling the Tigers' homecoming game, but Fayette County prevailed 23-14.

McIntosh boys and girls win meet at Sandy Creek

Sandy Creek's boys and girls cross country teams hosted a tri-meet last Wednesday afternoon, facing off against McIntosh and Starr's Mill High School. McIntosh's boys and girls took first place, while Starr's Mill's teams finished second and Sandy Creek finished third.

GHSA tosses around idea for Super 32 for football

The Georgia High School Association has been tossing around the idea of a "Super 32" division for football. The new division would be a way to separate the largest 32 schools in terms of students from the others, allowing more tems to make the state playoffs.

PTC Flash has runners in last Saturday's PTC Classic

PTC Flash athletes competed in the 21st PTC Classic 5K and 15K races this Saturday, Oct. 12, here in Peachtree City. There were 31 athletes who competed in the 5K (3.1 miles). Amazingly, nine of them were 8 and under, running almost three times the normal race distance of 1.24 miles. Two team members braved the longer 15K race (9.3 miles). The race featured 2,400 runners of various ages who travel to Peachtree City for this grand running event.

SCAT wins first meet of new season

Southern Crescent Aquatic Team took top honors at the Carrollton Bluefins Fall Classic during its first meet of the new short course season. Swimming against five other regional teams, the SCAT girls took first place overall, while the boys finished second.

College Prep Showcase for high school baseball players

Top Georgia High School baseball players (2003-2005 graduates) will have an opportunity to improve their chances of playing collegiate baseball by attending The Doyle Baseball 2002 College Prep Showcase Saturday, Oct. 26, at Southern Polytechnic University in Marietta.

Georgia Tennis Festival rescheduled for this Saturday

The 2002 Georgia Tennis 25th Anniversary Celebration, originally scheduled for Sept. 14 has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1-6:30 p.m. at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.

Soccer Centre to hold camp during school holidays

Looking for something for your child to do during Fayette County school staff development days this Thursday and Friday? Have them enjoy a fun-filled day of soccer activities with a staff of nationally licensed coaches who will conduct a clinic in the morning an small sided games in the afternoon. There will be prizes and raffles during the day.
