Caring
for the community and the environment, and building homes:
Habitat conservation plans
By Mac McKinney
As builders, developers, property owners and neighbors, we care
about our community and the environment. Yet sometimes we face
situations where the homes we construct are in areas occupied
by animals, plants, fish, or insects that are listed under the
Endangered Species Act (ESA).
Because we live in the communities where we work and respect
our environment, we develop Habitat Conservation Plans to provide
safe and affordable housing, and conserve species.

The Parks of Olmsted
caters to first-time home buyers and retirees
The Parks of Olmsted, just off of Lower Fayetteville Road in
eastern Coweta County, is a wonderful community for both first-time
home buyers and the recently retired.
The community features many amenities for families with children,
such as a pool with a mushroom play fountain, all in a park-like
setting, said Janet Bridges, an agent for David Lindsey Homes
and Realty, the community's builder. According to Bridges, there
will be an elementary school built within walking distance of
the community in just a few years. MORE
