Prudential Georgia Realty has created and introduced a new designation
especially for the personal assistants of top-producing agents.
Known as the Powerful Personal Assistant (PPA) designation, it
is believed to be the first of its kind offered by a real estate
company in Georgia.
The PPA course has been certified for 12 hours of continuing
education by the Georgia Real Estate Commission for licensed
personal assistants. Prudential Georgia Realty is offering the
designation to both licensed and unlicensed assistants. The PPA
is designed to help assistants with an overview of the real estate
business, office organization, implementing systems, technology,
team building, and scripting.
"Successful Realtors often don't have the time to train
their assistants in the many aspects of the real estate business.
We wanted to help with this training and one of our goals for
this year was to develop such a program for assistants," explained
Prudential Georgia Realty Senior Vice President Toni McGowan. "The
PPA designation will help Realtors increase their business, improve
customer service and have a better quality of life because their
assistant will be capable of sharing duties and responsibilities."
The first PPA class was held June 22-23 and 16 assistants graduated
from the program: three buyer's agents, three licensed assistants
and 10 unlicensed assistants.
Company Training Director DeAnn Spivey summed up the first program
by saying, "The energy, enthusiasm and power these talented
Personal Assistants possess was evident throughout our two-day
course. It was a valuable time for them to network with one another,
exchange ideas and make action plans to take back to their office.
By implementing these action plans, they will help take their
agents to the next level."
