Local high schools to perform this weekend

The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater will play host to more than 30 Contemporary Christian bands over four days and nights this weekend. U-Night 17 is bringing back Four Nights in October again this year, and the musical line up includes some big names. The event, which takes place Thursday, October 6 through Sunday, October 9, will feature afternoon performances on Saturday and Sunday in addition to the evening and late night performances. MORE

When Dr. Mona MacDonald moved to Fayetteville eight years ago, she was surprised to discover that there was no cultural or fine arts center in Fayette County.
