Several board members and other representatives from the Home
Builders Association of Midwest Georgia recently visited the
new home the association is building for the 13th Street of Dreams,
which will be this fall in John Wieland Homes & Neighborhoods River
Oaks community off Ga. Highway 74 North in the Tyrone area. The
purpose of the visit was to conduct a construction site cleanup.
Participants included Jerry Tedder of Jerry Tedder Company,
who is supervising the building of the house, Richard Simms of
Richard Simms Homes, Mac and Austin McKinney of McKinney Builders,
Randy and Preston Hayes of Hayes Development, and Sandy Boda,
executive officer of the association.
When the home is sold, a portion of the proceeds will go toward
the associations community outreach, which include scholarships
to local graduating high school seniors and contributions to
such organizations as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
The Street of Dreams event will open Sept. 11 and will run for
six consecutive weeks, and others building homes include Midwest
Georgia HBA members Pebble Hill Homes and Piedmont Homes.
