Peachtree City WASA to accept septage

Recently, a septage reception facility was constructed by the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority and soon they will be accepting septage for treatment. Septage is the waste that is pumped out of septic tanks and until now the septage from Peachtree City and the rest of the county has been taken to Clayton County.

Scouts visit Yorktown

Boy Scout Troop 309, Peachtree City,Êrecently relived a part of history when they participated in the camping program aboard the World War II aircraft carrier USS Yorktown at Patriots Point in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. The Scouts became “shipmates” with other Scout troops as they toured the Yorktown, the World War II submarine USS Clamagore, World War II destroyer USS Laffey, and World War II Coast Guard Cutter Ingham.

Gardens open to public

The private gardens of featured Coweta County Master Gardeners will be open to the public on the Garden Gate Tour May 22 from 9 am until 2:00 pm. The gardens are filled with nooks and crannies,specialty plants, garden accents, and water features beautifully placed and carefully tended. Each garden has a unique personality.
