Polling place changes

Fulton County's Department of Registration and Elections has made polling place and annexation changes for the Tuesday, November 5, 2002 General Election.

Senior Center hosts ball

The Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Complex in Sandy Springs will host its third annual anniversary ball, 7 p.m.-10 p.m., tonight.

Candidate forums

Clayton State Theatre Harries the Hallowed Halls with Haunted Lives

On Oct. 24, 26, 30, and 31, the Clayton State Theater will be presenting "Haunted Lives" -- three chilling and frightful plays by John Pielmeire, best known for his play and movie "Agnes of God."

Football season heads in to final month

The local high school footbal teams are entering the final month of the regular season. Teams are either trying to stay the course and make their way to the state playoffs or play spoiler and thwart some team's chances of postseason glory.

State softball and area cross country meets this weekend

Football's playoffs are still a few weeks away but several local softball teams enter the state tournament this afternoon and the area cross country championships take place tomorrow. This is the time of year that separates a good season from a great season.

Teams head to state volleyball tournaments

McIntosh's Lady Chief volleyball team won the area 4-AAAAA championship on Tuesday night by defeating East Coweta in four sets, 15-11, 15-8, 14-16, 15-4. Sandy Creek came in second in the area 4-AAAA championship by losing to Troup County in four sets, 15-17, 7-15, 15-14, 6-15. All four teams have qualified for the state tournament, which begins tomorrow at locations throughot the state.
