State authorities are investigating a fish kill in Lake Kedron in the northern end of Peachtree City.

Golf cart parade to precede ceremony

The Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City and VFW Post 4494 plan to join the city again this year for the second annual golf cart parade and Memorial Day ceremony Monday morning.

Police break ground today

A groundbreaking is scheduled today for the new Peachtree City Police Department headquarters. The event is set for 1:30 p.m. on Ga. Highway 74 across from Gilroy's, next to the Peachtree City Water and Sewerage Authority offices and the Flat Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Kids in the Kitchen is the Fayette Community School's summer cooking camp for boys and girls ages 9-14. Hands on activities include making homemade pasta, bread, cookies, candy and entire meals. Weekly themes include a tea party, party foods, entrees from around the world, and table decoration. Each child will make their own cookbook.

Registration for Clayton College & State Universitys annual Youth University is scheduled for Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. until noon in the Harry S. Downs Center for Continuing Education on the CCSU main campus in Morrow.
