I may not see you but know that I am happy for the Seniors, and know your Parents are very proud of you. This will be a busy weekend with all of the parties, be safe, have a great time, and enjoy the break. For the Senior Parents that I am friends with, take lots of pictures, tissues to graduation, and soak it all in. I did this last year, and will do so again in 2010 (yay)! kjam: Saw several police cars, what's going on?I just passed 6 FCSO marked units on South Jeff Davis, and 1 was sitting at South Jeff Davis and Callaway Rd. kjam: Can you help recommend someone for me?I know several of you great bloggers, and hope you can help me. This has been an issue for several years. kjam: Damage to yards during the nightJust checking to see if any one other than myself & my neighbor woke up this morning to find damage done to their yards during the night. Damage was: A small vehicle or truck decided to drive thru both of our yards, leaving tire markings and "doughnut" circles. We spoke to the FCSO Deputy this afternoon, and he was shocked to see how it was done & how no house was damaged. kjam: Thanks Tigers, Fans, SupportersWow, what an exciting night. I just could not let this night go by without posting a BIG thanks for lots of reasons. kjam: West Mobile Vet Visit in PTCThis past Tuesday, I was a first time user of West Mobile Vet services in PTC. Needless to say, it will be my last. I recently adopted a stray cat who is already a joy in our lives. I was given the info on their web site, seemed to have decent prices, and the man was pleasant on the phone when I called to schedule the appointment. When I arrived in the parking lot of the Kroger (Hwy 54 @ P'tree Pkwy), I was shocked to see so many people there with their pets. I thought this was a good sign, people must trust them with their pets. I completed the sign in sheet & turned my cat over to the vet. He asked very few questions and said "see you at 6pm". I arrived back to the parking lot around 5:15 (hoping he would be ready to go home after surgery), and the female assistant was rude from the minute I walked up to the mobile unit. She rudely said I had to come back at 6pm. I asked how my cat was doing, she replied "I don't know, we have 28 other cats in here and I'm busy doing paperwork". When I was finally called back to the door, she handed me my cat in the carrier, along with his paperwork. I attemped to ask a few questions on how to care for him the next few days after his surgery, scratches on his face, etc & was told "just read the instructions". I paid my bill in cash (that's all they take) and left feeling horrible that I had left my cat in their care for several hours. I hope with all of the other people I saw in the parking lot that day with their "loved one's" they did not have the bad experience I did. I will take my cat to my regular vet, pay the extra money it takes, and know he will be looked after properly. You know the old saying "you get what you pay for", well, yes you do! kjam: FCHS Marching Band CompetitionFCHS Marching Band is hosting the 25th Lafayette Marching Classic this Saturday at FCHS.
