ADESA Atlanta hosted the first wholesale vehicle auction at its new location in Fairburn, Ga. on Monday, Oct. 27. ADESA Atlanta sold 2,003 vehicles, eclipsing the previous Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep® record set two years ago. Additionally, ADESA Atlanta posted a 100 percent sale and had more than 300 dealers in attendance, participating via the live physical sale or through ADESA’s LiveBlock technology which enables remote dealers to participate in live sales from off-site locations.

Open house showcases start-ups

The Fulton County Business Incubator (FCBI) will host its “Fall Open House” on Thursday, November 13, 2003, to showcase 14 start-up firms being nurtured toward independence in the marketplace.

Golf tournament raises $32K

Monday, October 6, 2003, at Wolf Creek Golf Club, the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual South Fulton Invitational Golf Classic. Expos highlight seniors’ transportation options

The Fulton County Office of Aging will host four “Transportation Expos” in November 2003 to acquaint senior citizens with vehicular companies that can take them shopping and to other personal destinations.

Seniors offered Thanksgiving meals at area centers

Fulton County senior citizens can enjoy turkey and all the trimmings in Thanksgiving luncheons during November at senior activity facilities in north, central and south County.

Scholarships to be awarded by Farm Bureau

Georgia Farm Bureau will award four $1,500 college scholarships to high school seniors for the 2004-2005 academic year, J. Wayne Stradling, South Fulton County Farm Bureau president, recently announced. Students are eligible to submit an application if they, a parent or legal guardian were a member of Georgia Farm Bureau as of April 1, 2003. The scholarships are sponsored each year by the Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance company in cooperation with the Georgia Farm Bureau Women’s Committee.

CCSU sets open house for high school students

The Clayton State Office of Recruitment’s Fall Laker Day Open House is set for Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the University’s Athletics & Fitness Center.
