Auction now open in Southpark

ADESA Atlanta hosted the first wholesale vehicle auction at its new location in Fairburn, Ga. on Monday, Oct. 27. ADESA Atlanta sold 2,003 vehicles, eclipsing the previous Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep® record set two years ago. Additionally, ADESA Atlanta posted a 100 percent sale and had more than 300 dealers in attendance, participating via the live physical sale or through ADESA’s LiveBlock technology which enables remote dealers to participate in live sales from off-site locations.

The new facility located on Oakley Industrial Boulevard is an anchor tenant of Southpark, a 1,200-acre industrial park off Interstate 85 and Highway 74, approximately eight miles south of the Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport. The new ADESA Atlanta is also the hub for DaimlerChrysler Remarketing in the Southeast.

“The sale went extremely well and we exceeded our goals in every way,” said David Rush, General Manager for ADESA Atlanta. “I want to thank the employees of ADESA Atlanta and DaimlerChrysler Remarketing for their hard work in launching this sale. The teamwork and dedication is obvious when you look at the finished product. I also want to thank our dealer customers who were there to witness history in the making.”

ADESA Atlanta features eight fully-automated auction lanes, a state-of -the art technology center that offers digital imaging and an assembly line layout for condition reports. The facility also features a body, paint and reconditioning shop and an eight-lane vehicle check-in area and storage for over 6,500 vehicles. For Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep® dealers, ADESA Atlanta offers an on-site MOPAR Accessory Center that will serve dealers who want to add the Chrysler Group’s MOPAR brand special equipment to vehicles, even before they leave the auction. Additionally, ADESA Atlanta is the home of The Edge Club, a private lounge decorated like a Chrysler Group dealership of the future, providing check-in/check-out service, computer access and other amenities.
