Vice Chairman William "Bill" Edwards will host his second
2003 quarterly "Listening Session" May 29 to hear public comments
about county services in District 7, which he represents. Southwest
and South Fulton residents, including seniors and youth, are invited
to participate in the session at 7 p.m. in the South Fulton Service
Center's auditorium, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park.

had a wonderful day on which to work April 15. In spite of being Tax
Day, it was a sunny, but cool and comfortable spring day.

girls win region track
The Landmark Christian
School girls track team won the Region 5-A championship last week, as
Evette Holyfield led the way with 35 points, the high invididual total
for the meet.

Soccer
teams battle rain to advance
Rain
played havoc with schedules in the first round of the state soccer
playoffs, but most local teams had more trouble with the weather than
their opponents and advanced easily.

Tennis teams from
area high schools have been busy this week with the first round of
state playoff competition, with most of them advancing to the round
of 16.
All-region
soccer team announced
Fayette schools
are well-represented on the All-Region 5-AAAAA girls soccer squad
announced this week.
Flash
athletes qualify for state
Last
weekend the Peachtree City Flash Youth track team competed in the
Georgia Parks and Recreation Association 4th District Track Meet at
Tara Stadium in Jonesboro. The Flash sent a total of 44 athletes to
this event, of which 21 qualified for the state meet in Augusta.
