Landmark girls win region track

The Landmark Christian School girls track team won the Region 5-A championship last week, as Evette Holyfield led the way with 35 points, the high invididual total for the meet.

Other competing schools were Our Lady of Mercy, Whitefield Academy, and Heard County.

800-meter run Kristina Eden, Landmark, first; Lennia Batiste, OLM, second.

200-meter dash Evette Holyfield, Landmark, first; Lynette Fitts, Landmark, second.

300-meter hurdles Sierra Hill, Landmark, first; Sarah King, Landmark, second.

3200-meter run Jessie Thames, Landmark, first; Hope Hurst, Landmark, second.
