State basketball tournaments start this afternoon

A number of local basketball teams have qualified for the state basketball tournaments in their respective classifications. Fayette and Coweta County are represented by five teams in the AAAAA boys and girls state tournament, while Sandy Creek's boys are in the AAAA tournament and Landmark Christian School's girls are in the A tournament. The teams open up with one game this weekend at locations around the state.

I had my first surgery a couple of weeks ago, a gall bladder removal. It's amazing how narcissistic one becomes after one's body has been violated by sharp knives, penetrated by long needles, and stuff removed that has been in place for decades. Here are some things I wish people had told me before the surgery:
