School board tentatively approves budget for 2003

The Fayette County Board of Education tentatively approved a $141 million budget for the 2003 fiscal year at a called session Tuesday. The budget, set at 141 million dollars, is a $5 million increase from last year, which comes mostly in the form of personnel. The budget is balanced and is only a 4-percent increase over last year's budget.
