Strength program offered for middle school, rising freshmen athletes By MICHAEL

McIntosh High School will be the site of some intense workouts this summer. A Middle School Athletic Preparation Course will be offered Mondays and Tuesdays, June 10-28 and Thursdays and Fridays, July 8-26 from 9-11 a.m. The six-week camp is designed by college strength coaches to ensure that athletes have all of the fundamentals necessary to be successful. The camp will be run by Ed Ellis, director of Georgia Tech's strength and conditioning program and Wayne Brown, director of Furman University's strength and conditioning program. It is open to all males and females entering grades six through nine for a fee of $275. The instructors for the course will be Georgia Tech strength coaches and athletes.
