Comission delays pay hike vote

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners will wait until Dec. 19 to vote on increasing the pay for commissioners in 2003.

Panthers and Lady Patriots get region wins

The local basketball teams played region matches on Tuesday night and the results were great for some and ot so great for others.

Patriots sweep meet in preparation for S. Metro

Sandy Creek won all three matches on Tuesday night, defeating Westlake 48-24, Landmark 37-21 and Jonesboro 42-37. Winning all three matches Joey Singleton (130), Nick Dorsey (160), and Brandon McDowell (171). All three wrestlers now have a 9-2 record this season. Adam Byrd (189) went 3-0. Going 2-1 on the night were Zach Campbell (103), Chris Denney (119), Blake Morgan (135) and Mike Sitton (140). Denney is 8-3 on the season, Campbell is 6-4 and Morgan and Siiton are 2-4.

Starr's Mill swimmers beat Fayette

Starr's Mill swim team had a big win over Fayette on Nov. 30 at the Kedron Aquatic Center. The Lady Panthers swam away with a huge score of 201 points to Fayette's 74, while the boys finished 176 to Fayette's 98.
