Panthers vault into first place with a win and a Newnan loss

Starr's Mill regained the lead in Region 4-AAAAA division A, thanks to a win over McIntosh and Riverdale beating Newnan on Friday. East Coweta maintained control of division B with a 46-0 win over Henry County.

The Line Creek Nature Center recently held a fishing rodeo. Young anglers from around the area gathered to cast for catfish at the annual event. The pond and the pond's fishing dock are handicapped accessible, making it an ideal event for children who might not ordinarily get a chance to go fishing.

The Clayton College & State University men's soccer team made history Saturday, sewing up its first ever Peach Belt Conference regular season championship with a 2-0 win over the University of North Carolina-Pembroke.
