strike roofing plant, subdivision
The
Peachtree City Fire and Rescue Department has battled two significant
blazes in the past week: a structure fire at Certainteed in the industrial
park and a field fire in the Kedron Hills subdivision.

night's basketball action was filled with many ups and downs for the
local teams. Some losing streaks mercifully came to an end, while other

wrestling meets to be held this weekend
If you have been
following the high school wrestling season, this is a big weekend for
you. Starting tonight at 5 p.m. and continuing tomorrow, the area meets
will be held all over the state and the top four wrestlers from each
weight class in the meets will advance to the state meet.

The Georgia flag
flap is all but over. A majority of both the Georgia House of Representatives
and the Georgia Senate voted to do away with the current Georgia state
flag, which features the Georgia seal and the so-called Confederate
"battle flag," and, in its place, adopt the new flag which
may become known for its clutter if not for its beauty.
