ConfushaSay: Tyrone Vote Buying Complaint Dismissed Today

The Secretary of State dismissed the complaint of Mark Darrow and Mike Smola against Mayor Rehwaldt as not illegal.

Ex Councilman Smola was visibly agitated by the decision, telling the Judges that if it was not illegal then he was going home and make up discount coupons for President of the U.S.

ConfushaSay: When Grandma Goes To Court

I know we have heard this joke before but it is still just as funny today as before. Enjoy.

Lawyers should never ask a Mississippi grandma a question if they aren’t prepared for the answer. In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know me?’. She responded, ‘Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I’ve known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you’ve been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you’re a big shot when you haven’t the brains to realize you’ll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you.

ConfushaSay: Write on Ann Coulter

You hit all the liberal points about John McCain in the Feb. 9-10 Fayette News on page 4. The Republicans doo-doed in their pants and forgot to change their diaper during the Bush administration.

ConfushaSay: WHY IS STEALING SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

ITS AS SIMPLE AS THIS!

If someone steals your child's tri-cycle, you want it back don't you? If someone steals your sign, it no different, you want it back right? If Barry, Valerie and Town Council steals your property rights, you also want those back.

ConfushaSay: Carpetbaggers and Scalawags

Now let me get these Tyrone government arguments straight? Am I to understand that some of our Southern born citizens wants to support a Boston Carpetbagger for Mayor? One whose architectural ideas and political philosophies would be music to Teddy Kennedy's ears? Do I have to keep fighting for my property rights; those rights my great, great, great, great granddaddy left his tiny one man South Georgia farm in 1862 and spent 9 months in a Chicago Federal prison for.

ConfushaSay: My Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my property to keep. If Barry Amos and the Tyrone Council take it before I

ConfushaSay: TYRONE'S OATH OFFICE

Section 2.201 of Tyrone's Charter states the Oath for elected officials, " I do solemnly swear that I will well and truly perform the duties of the town and that I will support and defend the charter thereof as well as the constitution and laws of GA and the US."

ConfushaSay: Tyrone Tonto

Tonto, I understand you've been in the military. Call Jeff Alexander who is a property owner in Tyrone. He is a retired military officer. He's not pleased with the town, and doesn't think the same way you do.

ConfushaSay: Quote

If language is not corect, then what is said is not what is meant; if what is said is not what is meant, then what must be done remains undone; if this remains undone, morals and art will deteriorate; if justice goes astray, the people will stand about helpless confusion. Hence there must be no arbitrariness in what is said. This matters about everything.

ConfushaSay: GHOST TOWN OF THE FUTURE

If Tyrone have lots of vacant space for lease, then building more offices will not create full occupancy. Count the "For Rent" signs in Tyrone. 10 vacancies in the complex next to Sonic's, a new building unoccupied in front of Chaps, tenants moving out in Publix shopping center, 40% vacancy on Palmetto Rd. With the Real Estate slow down, how is Tyrone going to build a new downtown and fill it up. Given the restrictions of business uses, existing businesses in downtown can't get license renewals and are experiencing loss of income. Wayne Adam's of Tyrone tire can't rent his vacant space due to licenses being turned down & Thompson Automotive is moving out. Nostalgia went out of business this year due to lack of income, Sarah's Consignment is gone, Oh My Baby Store & La Vie Boutique moved to Peachtree City, The Herb Shop was put out of business by Barry Amos' refusal to give an accessory use business license and Gidding's Upholstery is going out of business, Tyrone Transmission, Carden Plumbing, Mays Paint & Body, a Drywall Company and 4 other businesses on Palmetto Rd had to leave because their buildings were torn down for redevelopment. Jeff Alexander lost 3 tenants due to licenses restrictions at his Senoia Rd building and lessors at Howell Park have turned down doctors for the same reasons. All of the above this year, and it ain't over yet. But never fear bureaucrat Barry told Council that he attended a seminar with other bureaucrats on how to bring business into downtown. For anyone who thinks Amos is a good Town Manager, just look at the vacancies and the Tyrone laws that created them.
