Is it true that Cynthia Tucker is leaving the AJC to go work for the Obama Administration in DC?

In another thread on this site, a regular poster laments “Gosh, I wish the GOP would become Conservative once again”. The comment caused me to wonder what is a Conservative? Not WHO is a Conservative, but WHAT is a Conservative?

I just wanted to remind you that it is illegal for golf carts to ride on or cross either 54 or 74 without using one of the bridges or tunnels.

I was driving down Peachtree Parkway (PTP) yesterday evening and noticed that a bunch of trees were down in the area along PTP behind the K-Mart. Can anybody explain what's going on without injecting some nasty comment about our mayor or another local or national politician?

In light of all the discussion on this web site regarding religion and politics, I must ask this question:

Why is it that when a conservative politician meets publically with a religious leader or speaks about traditional values, liberals scream about separation of church and state. But if a liberal politician makes a blatantly political, partisan stump speach from a church pulpit, everybody looks the other way?
