A south Fayette
man is in custody after drug agents found a disassembled methamphetamine
lab in a barn behind his south Fayette residence late Friday evening,
police said.

McIntosh
places 2nd at regional Science Olympiad
The McIntosh High
School Science Olympiad team captured second place Feb. 28 among 20
Georgia high schools in regional competition at Georgia Perimeter College,
qualifying them to move on to state competition March 27 at Emory University.
The state tournament determines which high schools will represent Georgia
at this year’s 20th national competition May 21 in Pennsylvania.

the Eighth Annual Ultimate Drive for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer

Girl Scouts will
be at neighborhood shopping centers, grocery stores and other gathering
places through March 14 selling Girl Scout Cookies. The cost of $3 per
box supports troop and council activities, and all profits remain local.

Sharpsburg
theater company staging man of the House
Last November, a
benefit held for the Sharpsburg Library led to the creation of Sharpsburg
on Stage, a dinner theater company helping to bring the arts to Coweta
County. Artistic Director Tammy Barton and Production Manager Glo Tinsley
received such a great response to their dessert theater benefit “Next
Victim, Please” that they decided this was something the community
needed.
