Arrests may solve other shoplifting cases, police say

Two suspects shoplifted over $1,600 in merchandise before they were caught at the Banana Republic store at The Avenue shopping center in Peachtree City, police said.

Markus Parker, 22, of Atlanta was charged with theft by shoplifting, forgery in the first degree and obstruction of a police officer. Sharron Mitchell, 31, of College Park was charged for theft by shoplifting.

Police also believe the two are involved in “numerous” other shoplifting cases over the past few months, so additional charges may be filed, police said.
