Sisters to perform wide variety of hits from 30-year career
The
Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater welcomes The Pointers, formerly known
as The Pointer Sisters, one of the more eclectic groups in music history,
to the stage this Friday and Saturday. The Pointer Sisters have enjoyed
success with a number of different musical genres in a career that has
spanned over 30 years.

Fayette
Ballet, a local dance company made up of junior and senior company members,
teacher and guest artists, will bring the "Celebration of Spring"
show to the stage at Our Lady of Mercy High School this Sunday.

Midtown celebrates 10 great years this weekend
It
was 10 years ago that concert promoters launched Music Midtown, a three-day
music festival in Atlanta. Since its inception, Music Midtown has been
one of the highlights of the year for music fans of all ages in the
Atlanta area as well as much of the Southeast. In recent years Music
Midtown has played host to such acts as The Allman Brothers Band, Run
DMC, Counting Crows, Bob Dylan, Bad Company, Indigo Girls and hundreds
of others. This year's lineup promises to be as good, if not better,
than any of the past festivals.
I
don't like Mondays
Writing this column
is the only thing I have to do today, which is probably why I'm having
such a hard time doing it. I'm sure if I had a zillion different things
going on I would have had a great idea, stormed through the writing
process and moved on to my next task. Unfortunately, I've got nothing.

Comic Book Day and Planetary Comics in Peachtree City is joining thousands
of other comic book stores around the world by providing a free comic
book to all visitors on that day. The goal of Free Comic Book day is
to attract as many people to the world of comic books as possible.
